Press Release 10-30-09 Update:
Jerry Korinek Director of Competition-USSA

The latest version of our Pro-Star payout for
next season is posted.
Please review and be aware of the following.
(Under Links Section) Pro Star money will be
banked till seasons end.
You must attend all events in order to qualify
for Pro Star payoff.
Exception to this is, anyone hurt racing at a
USSA event and their
injury prohibits them from continuing the
season will be paid all earned funds.
We wish to thank Josh Wilson and Mark Powers
who again gathered Pro Star funding from our
various class sponsors. Additional funding that
is required will come from the USSA treasury as
part of our benefits to driver members. You will
notice on the Pro Star payoff sheet that
we also have listed the classes ran at our
events and the method we use to calculate payoff.
Many members do not realize how this is done
and this chart will assist them in understanding
the payoff procedure.
We will again pay regular payback from events
the following event during drivers meeting. We
must have your social security number on file or we
will hold all checks until you comply by supplying
your number. You can contact either Lisa or myself
to ensure this is done. Semi Pro Champ drivers,
special note, your class has been elevated from
a 70% payback class to a 100% payback class
effective this season. While this will offer the
association less operating funds, it is felt by the
board that the participation level and quality
of competition offered by the drivers in this class
earned the 100% payback. Congratulations
Semi Pro Champ drivers! I have noticed the forum
has been unusually slow this season, while
I do get a number of phone calls for tech determinations.
If at all possible please check the forum often and
post your questions there. Of course, if you feel your
question will alleviate any technical advantage you
may have, I will always take questions by phone or
e mail on a confidential basis. Please review the
forum to see the boards recent clarification on
questions on 600 Stock Fan Sprint and Junior II Sprint
requirements.

Press Release 9-9-09
USSA Director of Competition Jerry Korinek

USSA is pleased to announce that effective
our 2010 season; USSA will offer all Junior
classes on both days of competition.
For many seasons parents of Junior’s have
asked for the availability of more lap time
for young competitors, and USSA sees
this effort as an answer to that request.
During both Saturday and Sunday events
USSA will offer Junior Novice, Junior I Sprint,
Junior II Sprint, F-500 Junior I and F-500 Junior II
at all events. While the racers will be awarded
medallions for both days racing efforts,
Sunday’s events will be the point garnering
days, for the end of season high points
Champion in each class. The two day offering
will fill many requests for extra lap time,
but to alleviate issues where other activities
or travel funding may restrict a competitor from
being at an event for both days; points for
season end are only awarded on Sundays
events. High point trophies at season end will
be awarded in Junior I Sprint, Junior II Sprint,
F-500 Junior I, and F-500 Junior II. Trophies
for Junior I Sprint and F-500 Junior I will be
awarded by Schaus Roofing and
Mechanical Contractors, while Junior II Sprint
and F-500 Junior II will be presented by
North East Wisconsin Toro Dealers. USSA feels
this effort will encourage Junior’s to develop
their skills and move up the ranks to join
the field of USSA’s present Pro drivers.
